Students also participate in TMEA and UIL solo competitions where their successes can be traced towards THE COMMON GOAL OF EXCELLENCE! The department has performed with the Midland-Odessa Symphony and for various community events. The LHS Chorale has performed as an Honor Choir at the Texas Music Educator's Association State Convention in San Antonio, Texas (2004) and also has toured to Austria/Germany (1996), New York City (1998), The British Isles (2000), Washington, D.C. (2002), and our most recent trip this past year to the 2004 Linz Invitational Choral Festival in Austria.
